Wriggly Worms and Creepy Crawlies is a one-off incursion encouraging children to consider the link between our Environment and the role insects play in our ecosystems to maintain a healthy, balanced world.
During this incursion we:
- Explore the importance of insects in the garden
- Introduce children to microhabitats such as worm farms
- Learn to reduce the amount of vegetable scraps ending up in our rubbish cycle
- Allow children to hold live insects
With fun games and hands on experiences, this incursion builds knowledge about composting and recycling, while increasing awareness of practices that can be implemented in the home and school environment.
Ladybug Academy are licensed programs on the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Hinterland. Presented by a qualified, experienced teacher of over 20 years. Registered with QCT, Working with Children checks, Insured.
