The Glass House Mountains are a group of volcanic peaks on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, and they hold deep cultural and spiritual significance for the local Indigenous Australian people, particularly the Gubbi Gubbi (Kabi Kabi) and Jinibara peoples.

According to one sacred Dreaming story, the mountains are a family. Tibrogargan is the father, Beerwah is the mother, and the smaller peaks are their children. One day, Tibrogargan saw a great flood coming from the sea. He told his eldest son, Coonowrin, to help his mother and siblings escape. But Coonowrin ran away in fear, failing to protect his family.

Tibrogargan was so ashamed of his son’s cowardice that he struck him, disfiguring his neck—this is why Mt Coonowrin is said to have a crooked appearance. From that day on, Tibrogargan turned his back on Coonowrin and has never looked at him again.

This story teaches values of courage, responsibility, and respect for family. The Glass House Mountains continue to be sacred to Traditional Custodians and are places of ceremony, law, and storytelling.

What is Kidz Dance Fit?

Kidz Dance Fit combines the joy of dance with the benefits of fitness in an inclusive and age-appropriate way. This program encourages kids to express themselves through movement while improving their coordination, strength, and overall fitness. With high-energy dance routines set to popular kids’ music, every session is a party that gets children excited about staying active!

We offer wellbeing programs through our '2 Week Butterfly Garden Experience' at aged care centres and hospital centres (as well as schools and childcare centres) on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, Queensland. You may have seen this being set up at Ronald McDonald House (in Sydney), hospitals and aged care centres in Australia. The Butterfly Experience is set up for residents, staff and visitors at the houses or hospital centres, offering an exciting experience observing the life cycle of the mesmerising and calming caterpillars and butterflies over 2 weeks. Residents, staff and visitors will all look forward to visiting and observing changes in the Butterfly Garden each day and it will provide a positive stimulus for wonder, excitement and friendly discussion with others.

Your school or centre can enjoy the 2 Week Butterfly Experience for all ages. We provide all your need with caterpillars, chrysalis, food, resources, instructions and support. We come and set up for you, then return after 2 weeks to clean and tidy up for you. No stress, super easy!
