What is included in our incursions?

Our incursions are modern, digital and physical, interactive displays that will engage and educate children and adults alike. Designed by qualified and experienced Early Childhood and Primary School Educators, you can be assured that content covered is relevant to the Curriculum Outcomes and National Framework, to help cover learning areas alongside your program, introduce topics or consolidate learning areas. You will be emailed relevant Curriculum Match documents to assist in your planning. We have already done the matching for you.

Our Incursion Presenters are experienced teachers, experienced in classroom management, organised, professional and engaging. They are experienced in catering to a variety of scenarios, age groups and learning styles to keep the audience interested and curious to learn more. Sessions are varied in duration to cater to different age groups and are varied in segment types to help break up the timeslot for maximum engagement: digital slideshow, physical demonstrations, hands-on interaction and participation, puppet interaction, music, dancing, games and quizzes, roleplay, questioning, observing and more! Each incursion is different depending on the content being covered, and we offer incursions for multiple curriculum areas including:
Sustainability, Art and Dance, Live Insect Experiences, Health, Fitness and Safety.

Your presenter will arrive early to set up equipment and demonstration table. They will normally require 2 large tables and access to a powerpoint. Your incursion will run for the estimated time provided in the e-info kit or as arranged in your booking. Your own staff must be present to supervise children or provide extra needs during the presentation if necessary (as per your usual staff-to-child ratio) and can enjoy the show too! At the completion, small gifts or certificates for each participant will be provided to your lead educator/supervisor to be handed out at the end of the day to take home with them. Your incursion organiser will also receive emailed and/or printed bonus resources (applicable for most incursion types depending on age and topic area), to assist in your planning and to maximise learning opportunities before, during and after the event! Some incursions and experiences may have posters for you to display in the lead-up and to display at your venue, post on social media pages and in family newsletters or sites.

At the completion, your presenter will pack down equipment, be mindful of children's safety and leave the space clean and tidy for you. They will follow your procedure for sign in/sign out and have their Working with Children Blue Card ready for presenting to you.

Risk Assessment and Public Liability Insurance: We have both of these available and are ready to provide details to you. Please email ang@teachfunoz.com to request these to be emailed to you, once you have arranged for a booking.

Privacy and Photographic Content: From time to time, we may ask you, and give you the option of a fun group photo to be posed for at the end of the session, without photographing children's faces (i.e. facing away from the camera while dancing in a group or holding up their artwork in front of their faces for a final group shot for you to use, close-up photo of children holding insects etc.) If we use these photos for social media or promotional purposes, no faces will be visible and are not used for any other purpose.

Our incursions include content that supports the curriculum (Early Years Learning Framework and Australian Curriculum v9.0). We provide bonus classroom resources and fun follow-up learning activities, for you to include as you'd like within your program and/or as a 'take-home' for children to extend their learning and curiosity at home. Request our 'E-Info Pack and Curriculum Match documents' and see an example of some of our resources to match incursions below. A selection of these and others are included in your booking price, depending on which themed incursion and curriculum area you have booked for.

All of our one-off incursions include a free gift or certificate for each child to take away with them that day, as a memento to share with family and friends after the incursion.
