Booking Request - Alpaca - Story and Paint Kindy and Primary P-3
Inspired by the 'Maca the Alpaca' story by Matt Cosgrove. In this interactive 'Story and Paint' workshop, young artists will paint their own canvas Alpaca character masterpiece after they hear the story reading. Perfect for kindy through to early primary students and even staff/adult social fun. In this art incursion, children will explore colour, blending, line and shape, size, positioning and using different paintbrush techniques, while following along with our basic step-by-step presentation by a qualified teacher. Our art incursion is an engaging, fun hands-on painting session where creative sparks will fly. At the end, every participant will take their very own quirky 'Alpaca' masterpiece home to display proudly. At the end of the session, it's a great photo opportunity for you to have your ipad or camera handy, with all the children holding up their amazing artwork.
Staff won't need to set up or clean up, as we do all this for you and provide all the art materials you'll need. We will just require you to provide plenty of tables to ensure enough space for each child to comfortably lay a canvas, paint palettes x 2, water bowl and paint brushes. We recommend at least 5 large trestle tables or the equivalent table space by placing tables together in groups with all children seated facing or side-on (not back to presenter).
Art Workshop duration: 75-90 minutes per class
Maximum class size applies for this class: 22 participants or less
*If you have more than this, you would need to split your class into 2 or more separate groups and we do offer a multi-class discount to help keep costs affordable.
For same day classes, a 15-minute break is necessary to ensure time to reset art materials for the next group. Please let us know your meal break times to try and work around.
Set up time is generally around 1.5 hrs and pack up/clean up time is generally around 30-40 minutes.
